On lonely terrain met two roads

I on one, the other you occupied

And like a fairytale that was never told

My heart opened for you to reside

You were my life you were not to know

Buried in the deepest folds of my heart

And the joy and excitement you did bestow

Kept me going in life's new art

And through the times at times I'd cry

You never knew how much I cared

You gave me life but made me want to die

But still I never told, I never dared

And now as I look back I wasted my time

Because I am still in the same state I was

But my feelings were true so t'was no crime

I thought of you as a loved one does

Then today I heard you want to leave

No warning, no reason, no farewell

A threatening heartache I can't believe

You led me to love to leave me in hell

So it's my heart that can wave goodbye

A silent bye-bye that breaks it up

Left with a memory fading as time ticks by
